I’m writing this review to help people like myself, people who have espresso machines that also make Barista drinks. If you like a decent strength Cappuccino or a strong Latte you need a very fine grind on your choice of beans, this grinder does it well. DO NOT BUY the Delonghi KG one at similar price as it does not get close to the fine grind this machine does, trust me when I say this as I currently have BOTH grinders sat in my kitchen after making the mistake of buying the DeLonghi one first (It’s getting put back in its box and in the cupboard shortly). Espresso Machine, buy this one. Simple and easy to use and at sub £40 untouchable by others.

Brilliant bit of kit – I read some reviews about coffee grinders to get an idea of what to go for, and saw them range from hundreds of pounds to £20. I picked the Krups because it has some good variable settings, and fitted my needs perfectly. There were other brands with similar features, but this stood out to me, and so I bought it. I have to say I am sure I made the right choice, it is well made and works perfectly for my use, and didn’t cost a fortune, so I am now one happy convert to coffee beans and one happy Krups Burr owner.

This is a very good Grinder. I have found that it is very easy for me to change the grind settings. There are around 17 different settings but in reality you will only ever use a few. I found that if you are using a manual pump espresso machine then you will be able to fairly quickly find what grind you like in order to be able to pull a good shot. You are also able to grind coffee up to the amount of 12 cups at a time which is good. I do think that there is not a very large amount of coffee beans that can be stored in the grinder at a time which is the only thing that really annoys me when using the machine. I think that the grinder is easily worth the money. I am very happy with this grinder and I am sure that I will be continually happy using it.

This is my second Krupps GVX231. The first one lasted for many years and when it eventually gave in, after daily use, I immediately ordered the exact same again. It does a great job at an amazing price. There are many far more expensive burr grinders out there, they may look fancier but I honestly don’t think they will grind your coffee any better. Have tried it on many settings and it really does go from very fine to a coarse grind. Find the one you like and it will give consistent results everytime.

Good Price does the job
I am a recent convert to coffee beans and just wanted a machine that would grind without any manual effort. I didn’t want to spend a fortune when all I wanted was ground coffee to use in an Italian Coffee pot or cafetière. There are more expensive ones with fancy extras but this one does the job perfectly. I just brush out the loose granules after each use with the brush provided to keep everything clean.It’s fast and a bit noisy but I can put up with a few minutes of noisy grinding it’s not that bad.Some people have mentioned that it stops working after a few grinds. I thought the same until I realised that for safety purposes everything has to be in place for the machine to work. That also includes the collection container with its lid on (easy to forget).Also it only works when the top cover is sitting correctly.Great machine at a good price.

Great coffee grinder. Love it.
This is a great little grinder. I especially like that once you switch it on you can go and get on with other things while it grinds. Our old grinder meant you had to stay with it with your hand on the button until it finished grinding. It is only seconds but it really feels as if it makes a difference.There are lots of volume and grind fineness settings so it is easy to get just the amount of coffee you want, ground just how you want.On the down side, the coffee is collected in a see through box that has a lid but also has a sort of hole at the back. I always manage to lose some coffee through this hole when taking the box out to tip the coffee into my machine so I always have to wipe up coffee when using this grinder. It is only a small thing but it is annoying as it wastes the seconds I gained by not having to stay with the machine when it is grinding!The grinder is good looking and compact so even if you have it out on show it would look ok.It might be good to have a larger store for beans but then you would have a larger machine so perhaps it is OK to have to fill it each time you grind some coffee.Overall, very happy with this grinder.

Good burr grinder
Bought this as we wanted a burr grinder and the choices at this price were pretty limited. Pleased to report that after two years of daily use it’s still going strong and does a good job.Not the best looking device, but does its job well. No issues with the power bottom at all, but we are careful with it
