It’s boils the right amount of water

It fills a decent size mug. Boils quickly , can always top up with a little more hot water quickly as the amount to be boiled is adjustable. Would t do a very large soup type mug in one go , maybe one and a half but it cuts right down on steam vapour and therefore humidity in an unventilated room

    The First 24 Hours

Tested it.I had been worried it wouldn’t be as hot as my current fast boil kettle, because that was a common complaint of this type of kettle. But it is just as hot.Tested the variable quantities. It is from teacup to a very large mug. But I put a plastic jug under the spout to check the quantities coming out on the variable settings. However, I needn’t have worried. The mid setting fits my medium sized mug. Another 1/4 of the way then there is enough water to fill my large mug. I tested it several times trying out my different sizes of mugs.Tasted it for horrid plastic taste which at least one reviewer said it had. But there is no plastic taste.Everything works on it.So far the quantiles come out the same each time on the same setting, and not variable like one reviewer said it had.And it doen’t spit water out the side like quite a few reviews said.So far me and the new kettle are getting on. No quarrel with it.Easy to refill.N.B. I will update this review should anything change.

Good looking addition to the kitchen

Looks good, modern style. Holds enough water for about 4/5 decent size cups. Easy fill lid, it has a water level view on the front, a good feature is being able to alter the dispense amount depending on the cup size so you can click it on, it lights up and it automatically stops so you don’t have to stop it yourself. Also you can vary the cup stand up and down to avoid splashes.Stable on its own plinth, easy to keep clean..

Quick and convenient way of making a brew for one serving.

I’m using it for just a couple of weeks but already can see advantages. Machine is quick – a max. dosage of water is ready in 50sec from pressing a button to filling a mug. It’s quiet and good looking. The size is IMHO perfect (smaller than expected) and no problem to find a space in really small “tea kitchen”.It’s energy efficient as well due to preparation of the “exact” amount of brew which varies from a small tea cup to a regular mug.Highly recommended for a SINGLE person.

Hot and flavourless water – good enough for tea!

Having read all of the reviews and seen some that said the water wasn’t the right temperature for tea and that it gave a plasticky flavour, I wasn’t sure about this but purchased because I knew i could send it back easily and also it was in the right price range! When I got it, I set it up, following all the instructions, filled it up with water, switched it on and allowed the first 2 litres to be heated and then disposed of. That was quite a good exercise as it allows you to change the setting on volume to see what is right for your size of mugs. The first cup of tea I had I analysed the flavour and the hotness and came to the conclusion that, for me, everything was as it should be. The water was plenty hot for making a mug of tea and there may have been a very slight (almost imperceptible!) plastic taste but I haven’t noticed it since.I love that you can change the drip tray depending on the height of your mug – not a difficult job and feels very secure. All in all a great buy for my home office and saves all the hassle of having to take the tea upstairs – I can’t tell you how many times I spilt tea on the floor!! I love it.

    Such a good buy

I got this for my mum over a year ago, so she could get a cup of tea in her bedroom and I love it!! She does too! Whenever I stay at hers, I’m permanently using it to grab a tea whilst I’m working. She has a tray with tea bags, a mug, milk sachets, spoon, dish and a jug to refill the water.I originally was really worried it wasn’t going to be quite hot enough for a decent cuppa, but no problem!

    No lifting needed

Wasn’t sure I would get on with this at first, the build quality is very good doesn’t take up much room, its designed too fill one cup, but it is just as good filling a tea pot if you have guests, I really like the fact that I don’t have to lift a heavy kettle, I fill it with water once a day, prep my cup, when I want a hot brew, place under spout press button, return and its done, and it boils very quickly, even when full up, it doesn’t quite fill my mug, but again that’s a good thing for me as I tend to spill less and drink more 🙂
