The Plantronics CS540 Wireless Headset is the successor to the popular Plantronics CS60 headset. This new lightweight wireless headset is suitable for fixed telephony and works through the DECT standard to reach a range of 120 meters.
The Plantronics CS540 is a lightweight headset for the professional user. Because the CS540 weighs just 21 grams, you can wear this headset comfortably throughout the day. In addition, you can choose from three different wearing styles. Wear the Plantronics CS540 with the included headband, around the ear with the included ear hook or with a neck band.
The Plantronics CS540 Wireless Headset offers not only high build-quality and high comfort, but also a professional and luxurious look. The business and professional look of this lightweight headset makes it ideal for use at the reception or modern office environments.
The Plantronics CS540 Wireless Headset is very easy to connect to your fixed desktop phone. You use the supplied connecting cable to connect the Plantronics CS540 to the headset or earphone jack of your phone. This gives you more options with this professional headset. The Plantronics CS540 features the reliable DECT technology, which allows the wireless range of this headset to reach 120m from the base station. This allows more than enough mobility around the desk without any disturbance.

Expensive, but worth it.
This is quite an expensive add on to a DECT home phone system, and was a bit of a gamble, but it has paid off. I can now carry on doing other things hands free, make a cup of tea and a sandwich, whilst making/taking long phone calls. I no longer mind being in a telephone queue and listening to the music, because I can move around freely and usefully get on with something else.

Purchased with an APU-72 lead for use with a Nortel 1130 IP desk phone, which supports EHS, so you don’t need a handset lifter with this configuration. The speech quality is excellent, and since both headset and phone support wideband audio, this can be turned on, which also improves this. I work in an open-plan office, hence no walls to attenuate signals, so range is excellent, as is battery life.Supplied with a wide range of wear options (over head band monaural and over-ear), with both left and right options available, 3 different over-ear clips and 2 in-ear buds, it took some time to work out the most comfortable combination for me. I have to agree with other comments that the foam on the over-ear clip is not the best method I have used – would have preferred either a silicone rubber clip with either plastic or metal core (the ultimate would have been a thermosetting clip, that the user could mould around their ear, before it set!).Either way, I’ve been using it for a while now and would recommend it, absolutely, but do try out all the mounting options to find the most comfortable for you.

Very good. it happened a few times that the battery was dead whe I came to work in the morning, although it was in the dock…. for some reason it did not charge. Otherwise, easy to use, light, good quality, looks professional, cannot fault it. Recommended
