    Perfect

Perfect match for my old hue bulbs and now I can control them anywhere 5*

    pleasant light

It’s only the second time i buy a Philips after years that I avoided them, and I like a lot the color of the light. I know that in theory there is the color temperature, but that 2700k number doesn’t tell the gauss width or something for which this light is effectively worth.Note: To install Apple HomeKit and scan the code or the Philips Hue app, I was confused a little because the app require to scan a square code, but the one that worked was a plain BARcode inside the box, with appearance slightly different than expected, I fortunately tried to scan it and it worked. This habit to create an username with email address is a little disappointing but those smart stuff pretend this type of information

The solution to a problem I never knew I had.

If you’re reading this review. Scroll up and click buy. You’ll not regret it.Setup is a 10 minute breeze which is mostly taken up by waiting for the inevitable firmware update that the bulbs will need. After that you get as much or as little out of these as you put in. I initially used the hue app for timing and scenes though now find that I get the most utility out of using the Apple HomeKit app (multi-user geofencing being the big one that no one else has cracked).IFTTT continues to grow in its quirky uselessness with my lights all flashing every time I complete a run on Strava or get paid into my Monzo account.

    Great system.

It took me a long time to get around to buying this because I wasn’t convinced that I needed a system like this. After seeing them in action at a friend’s house I bought this pack.I messed up at first and couldn’t get Alexa to work with them but there’s plenty of ‘plain English’ advice online and I soon had everything working perfectly. I have since added several colour bulbs, though not the Philips ones because they are stupidly expensive. Instead, I bought ones from INNR, they are perfectly compatible and much, much cheaper.I am now training myself to stop using light switches and simply ask Alexa to turn lights on or off, change the colour or the brightness.I love the Hue system!

    pricey but good

Pricey but they work. I’m hoping that the bulbs will last a decent length of time – so long as they do, then it will be worth the price.Very easy to set up and to use. We’ve got ours set to come on when we go away based on custom routines to mimic someone being in the house and it works really well, giving us a bit more peace of mind. As we only wanted it for security – and to make our lights dimmable and controllable from an app we didn’t bother with the coloured bulbs which helps keep the price reasonable.Issues? Occasionally you have to have a couple of goes to operate a light manually through the app but other than that, it all works perfectly.

Great kit, decent price and good adjustability

I use this every day in 3 different rooms in the house – I added a few more Ambient bulbs to the kit.The Bridge is extremely quick to connect and match up with a Samsung Android phone, adjustability of the bulbs is great – though not as advanced as the Ambient bulbs – and the price at purchase was reasonable.I have paired it with an Amazon Echo and this along with the phone controls give great control and variance over timings, intensities and hues etc.The bridge and phone paired with the bulbs almost instantly and updates have been seamless ever since. These are expensive and the novelty will wear off pretty quickly of changing the intensity etc but being able to walk into the house on a dark night and see Alexa lights on and they all come on is great. You can also do this remotely from your phone anywhere with an internet connection and also programme it with the location on your phone switched on so that when you are near your house the bridge detects your location and switches the light on for you.
