I bought this guillotine to cut SRA3 sheets to A4/A5/A6 and it does exactly that. It is able to cut 400g card 4 sheets at a time. There are some reviews saying it cuts crooked, if you aline the sheets to the line marks on the guillotine instead of using the base of the guillotine, then this isn’t an issue. Because it locks the card in place as you bring down the knife, it is easy to shave off millimetres of a page if needed. The guillotine is quite heavy, not too heavy to move around, but it feels solid when you are using it, so you know it won’t slip by accident and destroy your work. There is also the magnet to hold sheets in place. All round a great product.

Quality build and operation and cut are very good. Too narrow to be able to use the guide on A4 landscape, which is a downside for repetitious work.

I used to use a rotary paper trimmer to cut paper, pictures, leaflets … But they had to done, at best, a few at a time. I was never very pleased with the edges either. That was until I tried to do a few more pieces of paper than the machine could handle and it (literally) exploded. With the ability to set the width of the cut before hand it is easy to achieve consistency over a batch even if the cutter will only do 15 at a time (I have done more – the manufacturer is being careful). The guillotine leaves a perfect edge, as you would expect. It is a bit expensive for what it does, but it should last a very long time as it appears to be extremely well made. It is good value compared with other guillotines though.

I dont normally write these things in depth but thought this deserved comment. I am very pleased with it, its a lot better than I thought it would be for the price. I run a small print shop and recently lost use of a heavy duty guillotine which to replace like for like was over £300. For the money here I thought it might not be such good quality. Another reviewer said it had metal guide plate which made me decide to go for it. It is very accurate and sharp, I can cut slithers of A3 which is what I wanted it for. It also folds down to save space and isnt too heavy for me lug about. There is an odd yellow plastic holder bar with magnets in it which you can use to steady the paper and it has a plate which comes down onto the paper at the cutting edge which is also strong. Five stars… (and I am not easy to please!). It also arrived pronto. Good Service.

We really like this cutter, which we bought after our horrible experience with the swordfish rotary cutter. Our only complaint is that the guide is a bit difficult to use and doesn’t lay straight. When relying on the guide, it is difficult to get a perfect right angles on whatever you are trimming- being careful is a necessity if precision is important. Edges are really crisp though! It is a professional finish if you are careful about holding the paper when cutting to achieve right angles, but you can not do so with too many sheets of paper at once. If precision is not of utmost importance, you can cut through a nice big stack of paper and it will still come out with very crisp edges

I was pleased with this, as I had another brand before, which broke apart fairly quickly, and the blade got blunt. This one seems solid, and there’s a mechanism which holds the paper in place while you cut, which is great. Overall, very pleased.

This is an excellent, top quality product which is worth paying for. It cuts card precisely where you want it to as it is marked off conveniently for A5 ,A6 etc. I used to have to measure and score the card for cutting with scissors, before I bought this for my card making. Cutting paper inserts is easy too. I use it for trimming my photos too. It has made my work easier and of course less time consuming. The blade guard folds down for easy storage. A very good price for a top quality product !

A well-made Guillotine. It has some nice touches such as the fold-away blade and cover. I have a bit of trouble lining things up and getting straight lines, since it’s quite narrow, but I generally get a good result and it’s made strongly enough to last for many years.
