Excellent product

Have been considering upgrading my very old kindle for a while having had it for years, when I saw this lovely blue colour on prime day with increased storage and stating increased battery life I decided to go for it. I’m so pleased I did battery life is much better – lasts for days and my old one just didn’t have the storage for the amount needed. The size is a bit bigger so better for watching films but is taking a bit of getting used to for holding with one hand when reading.I’m a prime member so I love the access to thousands of books. Ideal for being able to watch / download TV if away from home.Really pleased and wish I’d upgraded ages ago!

Great product!

Bought as an aide to my 8 year olds online learning. It makes a perfect addition. It was easy to set up and can be set up securely for kids using a parents account. Very intuitive to use, my 8 year old picked it up straight away with no issues.Great quality tablet. The screen is crystal clear and is a good size too. It has everything you want from a tablet at one touch of the screen. No complicated process’. The price is reasonable too. We have had similarly priced tablets previously but unbranded and to be honest this is light years ahead of those.I will be looking for a second one for my soon to be 5 year old for exactly the same purpose, so there is no squabbling. Would even consider one for myself rather than my lap-top.

Goo, versatile Tablet at a fantastic price

I love these as they are better than any dab radio, l can watch other items through a good array of apps. I have a few that are distributed around a home, my gym and office. One small gripe on the larger size one is the change charger pin so l have had to get a couple to to ensure l can charge without having to take the lead all the time. Another is now the on-off button is right next to volume buttons, when l use it on my trainer, l can easily click the ‘off’ button when changing volume when it is in the cradle on the machine…bar that it is a great cost effective device.

Excellent as a reader with a long battery life

I bought this primarily to store work PDF’s on and to read books. For these tasks it is an excellent platform. The battery life is good when compared to big name tablets. I have managed to get 4 days use out of it before it needed a charge. It is not the most intuitive device to use – certainly my iPhone X is smoother to navigate. There is an Amazon App Store from which I have downloaded a number of office based products. Netflix and Amazon prime work well on the HD8. The screen resolution is excellent and the audio are excellent. If you want a device that is primarily a tool for acquiring material to read and which will do basic office functions then give it a go. If you want a platform for gaming it is probably best left alone.

Good sound light weight ideal for background

Knew screen wasn’t best, it’s not bad inside, outside but glare issue and not quite bright enough. Resolution fine for screen size, also works with HD streams from all main UK services, better than my old 12 inch Samsung that only played 480p Netflix and weighed a tonne. Got for just general background watching/ listening and though speakers aren’t the best they have good volume and sound better than most laptops of the budget kind. For the price on a deal day I’d say well worth it, just don’t expect super performance and stunning screen and you’ll be fine, just a basic tablet
