Easy to install but..
I bought this product as my desktop PC in the downstairs bedroom was having trouble getting a good Wi-Fi signal. As I am a renter, running ethernet through the walls was not an option. So, after reading reviews, I decided to purchase this option.Set up was quite easy. It is pretty much plug-and-play with a bit of button pressing if you want to “lock” the connection. The quick start guide is quite self-explanatory.Like what others have already mentioned on their reviews, the speeds you will experience are heavily dependent on how your electrical sockets are wired. If the two sockets you plan to use are on the same ring mains, and no other “noisy” electrical devices (microwave, fans, space heaters, blender, etc.) you will likely get close to the maximum advertised speeds. However, in my case, as the downstairs bedroom was a garage conversion, the two sockets were on different rings. But, I was able to get decent speeds 40~60MBps, which is about the same as the speeds I can get on my wifi upstairs anyways. That being said, upon doing some file transfers over LAN, it is clear that the speeds I can get through the sockets are nowhere near the maximum advertised speeds.TLDR; Easy to set up, a great option if you can’t put ethernet through the walls (like if you’re a renter), and the speeds vary greatly depending on your electrical wiring between the two sockets you intend to use.

TP Link AV1300
So far so good, great speeds, signal strength and internet speed. Although Its only about 5-10 metres away from the router in another room but even so this product is definitely the best option for fast internet speeds without being hardwired into the router. Great value for money!

Fantastic!
Comes well packaged in a nicely designed box. You can feel the quality of these items. Very impressed.I previously tested this sort of device in my house before and couldn’t seem to get them to work, eventually guessing it had something to do with the wiring in our house and from then on assumed these things would never work. However, I was getting sick of bad speeds, constant drop-outs, and other inconveniences of WiFi, even after updating the adapter a few times, giving a slightly better result each time but still not close to good enough.Well aware the great return policy Amazon offers, I thought I’d just give this sort of thing a shot again, and even though I was 90% certain these wouldn’t work… with a little patience letting them pair… it worked, to my bewilderment. I almost can’t believe after all this time, I could have been using this instead of WiFi.Tested the speeds and they’re excellent. Ping in games is solid, videos load consistently. Simply can’t believe it! Unless your certain these don’t work in your house, I would give it another shot – I’m glad I did.

Speed and reliability
I have bought one of these previously and it has worked fantastic for my ps5. This is the reason I have bought another one for my brothers computer.Playing on WiFi despite having fast WiFi was okay but still had its inconstancies. The connection would lag at times, drop out on rare occasions and this became annoying. This device fixed this instantly. Was easy to setup and took less than a minute. No more lag or random dropoutsDesign is where some might find issues. It is bulky compared to some but I feel the quality is worth it. It still allows you to use the socket for other things whereas many others will cause you to lose a socket and the speed is up there with some of the faster units. You don’t get the full speed but you can get around 100mbps which is ample for gaming and most things.

Needed more
An old house like ours has thick walls and traditionally wireless reception has been poor, although the installation of gigabit broadband and Eero routers has helped a lot I still like having much better connectivity and speed from the home plug system I have 4 of the 1Gb versions but wanted another couple and needed a different style as our attic has very low mounted sockets, these are the ideal solution. Set up was beyond simple just plug in and go, they connected to my existing PA7017P plugs instantly and we were up and running in minutes. So that’s 5 now powering the house, the house is about 150 years old with electrics that aren’t fantastic but I am getting excellent connectivity and speed, using a Plex server and streaming video all round the house without issues. Very very good.
