Also great for a small womans finger!
I already own a Viatom oxycom wrist and finger monitor, which I use for night time. It’s woken me so many times to get me breathing again, I didn’t realise I was as bad as I was. After these findings the doctors have taken me seriously, and are impressed with the reports I gave them.I tried using this unit in the daytime, and I found it a little restrictive when doing things in the day.I tried the adult ‘ring’ but even my thumb was too small for the probe to have a constant reading. The kids ring is perfect for me. It fits my little pinkie so well that I am able to carry on working on the computer at work without even noticing it. The connection is great, and it downloads just as well as the larger oximeter. Please note that this ring DOES NOT WAKE YOU, it is sound only. I wouldn’t wear this overnight for that very reason, but other than that I am extremely happy with it.

This monitor was recommended by another epilepsy parent. From the reviews it seems other epilepsy parents have bought and recommend this monitor also. We’ve only had it a couple of days but I just love it. I have actually managed to sleep for a couple of hours for the first time in 3 years. The little sensor is so light that my daughter doesn’t even know she has it on. Setting it up was easy once I’d worked out how to make my phone stay awake (Google search). The monitor has alerted me to 2 focal seizures already which even though my daughter sleeps with me I would definitely have missed.I love that you get graphs which easily highlight any abnormal readings without having to try and remember times and durations.I definitely recommend this monitor, it’s a game changer for us.

This little devise has blessed me with the ability to sleep at night without worrying about my daughter who has night seizures. It does not detect specific seizure movement but it does a fantastic job of telling me her heart rate and blood oxygen level when she does have a seizure. Both of these drop when she is in active seizure in her sleep. I have set the parameters easily on the phone app to alert me should they drop below normal. It means I don’t stay awake hovering over her intermittently between the short naps I would take. She isn’t bothered by it and she will always ask me to put it on for her so she can go to sleep. There are a few little issues which I have resolved. It does slip off as she moves in the night. A bit of medical tap and this resolved. Another issue I have with this product is the distance it works from is short and the fact my phone has to be left on all night attached to a charger. This isn’t good for my phones battery life but it’s worth the sacrifice for a good night sleep and peace of mind. At some point I will be purchasing a cheaper 2nd phone just for the monitoring purposes. Also, it performed a far better than the medical grade version I purchased for around £600. I eventually returned as it wasn’t accurate or reliable and would alarm if it dropped signal (which was every few minutes or hours or if she lay on the arm the monitoring armband was around.) needless to say it was terrible and i didn’t get any sleep while it was in use.Over all it’s a good product!!!Thank you for allowing me to sleep!
