I bought the Archer T4E model about a week ago and got around to installing it today. Installation is very simple, just plug it into your motherboard and screw in the 2 antennae. At first, I was getting very slow speeds for my connection (around 10mbps on my 200+mpbs connection). After a little bit of Googling I found that if you have your connection set to a specific Encryption type, it significantly hampers your speeds. Try looking it up, as there are people out there that can explain it much better than me, but you need to change your Encryption to AES.

This is to replace (in readiness to move the machine) an ethernet cable feed and getting virtually the same speed. PC is still only 8 yards from router. Only problem encountered, I had to find a screw to fasten it to motherboard as one was not supplied and my machine had ‘break out’ panels. Been running a few days now and I am well pleased. I intend to move the machine to a more remote location soon with walls between so I hope the performance remains the same. If not I will update the review.

Amazing range and connection speed. Constant 8mbps even when there are stairs and doors, no problem no issues. Thanks TPlink

Got it to my son’s cheap PC. It only had a tiny USB wifi dongle and struggled get good signal even at the front of the PC. This was easy to install in the card slot, CD comes with it and installing driver was ok and started to work within few minutes. Gives a good speed on second floor, 2 walls and floor between PC and router. The PC is Windows 10, some have reported issues but so far we havent any. Will comment here if anything goes wrong!!

Slotted in and worked fine no issues on two different pcs. Nice it has two switchable mounting plates.

I bought this to catch my virgin media wireless upstairs. It advertises 300mbps max, and my internet reaches 219mbps.My house has very thick walls, so remember that when considering my review. The card was extremely easy to install. I did need a prior connection (ethernet) to install the driver, however if I had a disc drive, I couldve inserted the disc that came with it.Within a few minutes I had installed the driver. Wifi worked instantly, but I could only reach a maximum of 8mbps. This is obviously partly hardware and partly my signal in the home. But even with a TP-Link wifi extender plugged In down the hall, I could hardly reach even 20mbps.Dont get this card if your circumstances fall into mine. The signal isnt strong enough to pick up high speeds even with an extender of the same brand.

It’s cheap and it’s basic but it does what is expected of it.Would I buy it again?Yes, I would.Like I said already, it does what is expected of it.

Plugged it in loaded drivers connected first time. Not the fastest but quick and simple

Works and performs pretty decently. It’s not superfast but hey, it’s cheap!Doesn’t support 5Ghz – only 2.4.

Given the fact that Unityj-UK mix up reviews for completely different products it’s sometimes hard to find out what does and doesn’t work. This Archer T4E AC1200 works in a HP 600 G2 SFF using the supplied low profile bracket. I am on Windows 10 64 bit build 2004.I did use manufacturer’s drivers – no problem. I had to update the bios on the HP PC though as the card wasn’t recognised otherwise (and sometimes caused the PC to not boot). Perfect after bios update though, and easy to do.
