I love this device. I bought it mainly for its rice cooking function, yes i know there are cheaper options but i figured why not give it a go. So far I’ve made rice, curries, risottos, soup, cake, bread, stew and even cooked whole chickens in it. It’s got to be the most versatile and effective small counter top appliance i’ve ever used. It’s like a supercharged slow cooker and being able to prep a large part of the meal, stuff it in the machine and forget about it till it needs to be served, is a revelation. No more juggling times so that it’s all ready at the same time as the “keep warm” function adds massive flexibility. There has hardly been a day that it’s not been in use since i bought it. The internal pot is probably the best non stick surface i’ve ever experienced and cleaning it is a cinch. Even my technologically incompetent mother loves it.All you need in addition to this for all your daily cooking would be a toaster.

The product works just fine. This review is mostly to help people that don’t know that the lid comes off if you need to clean it.There is a centre screw/nut that you can remove to pull lid out and then clean it.When putting back together please make sure you put the securing nut back in the right way ( there is a seal that should fit againts the lid) otherwise you will loose pressure when cooking.Chekc pictures.

This is one nifty kitchen gadget. My first attempt was a smashing vegetable stew with Moroccan spices – and oh my, this could not have turned out better!Used the browning mode (with lid open) first to sear the veggies as well as to season. The next step was to pressure cook and I made use of the DIY mode after watching some YouTube videos. I recommend this chap, as he gives a bit of a walkthrough in how to use this function as the official instructions a a bit lacking (search: ‘Tefal CY505E40’ and ‘The Garner Collection’).I fully closed/sealed the lid and set the cooker on ‘low’ and ‘6mins’. It takes the cooker about 10mins to gain pressure after which the (in my case) 6mins countdown starts. The Cooker will beep when finished and switches automatically to the keep warm mode.Success guaranteed and 10s across the board 😎👍

Bought on behalf of my brother, who commented -Healthy nutritious meals in minutes instead of hours spent over the electric hob making sure the pots don’t boil over. No more steamed up kitchen. And cooking in the multicooker not only retains the full flavour of what I am cooking, but also retains the nutrition. Nothing is lost compared to traditional methods. You can taste the difference. I wish I’d thought of it before

The instruction booklet could have been bigger. There is a troubleshooting page for problems but there should be one for cooking help also. I liked the recipe book, start with some easy meals to get you into practice. I must say though I do love this machine easy to use after having read the little instruction booklet a few times. It’s sturdy, safe and surprisingly quieter than I had imagined its also very easy to clean the lid part. Makes great cakes too.

The product does exactly what is says. It is quick, quiet and a big big improvement on our last pressure cooker. I just wish the interior of the lid came out for cleaning. I think I will be tempted to run it on water only to make sure the lid interior is really clean.

Its about 3 weeks that I’ve recieved my Tefal multicooker and I am really happy about it. Its has a perfect combination of options that makes cooking really easy. It keep your food warm. The Brown option is so good you can easily roast ingerdinent of the stew before using the Stew option. The Rice option is not very suitable for cooking rice with Irainians method, but the combination of rice with brwon is fine. The pressure option is perfect as well. In general I highly recommend it.UPDATE: the design is not good at all, hard to clean lid is a big problem. I open the lid to wash it after two years (as I was cleaning it with a damp cloth and it really needed a deep clean). After washing the lid and setting it up, product is not working anymore. So not recommended anymore…..

Pot is well made and very useful. Easy to clean and lots of options.I wish there were more recipes in its book or that they were more general

The cooker is big allowing big menus to be prepared, but it is very heavy before being filled, after filling obviously more so. I found the instructions complicated and some of the illustrations unclear. I do however realize that personal variations work well once I discover and remember the order of necessary buttons to be pressed.

I love all options slow cooking, pressure cooking, and delayed timer and button to release steam. Also very easy to remove cover for washing when you are ready just unscrew on contrary to some reviews that it’s messy I disagree. Just loving it!

Very useful use it couple of times per week. makes soups and browns meat then can use as a slow cooker. Only drawback is the water collects in the rim of the lid and when you open the lid water comes out onto the bench.
