This would have been the perfect product had DHL Delivery Germany not fone the classic bait and switch. Missed package slip with no knock or bell rung. Who drops a slip quietly without warning & then drives away. This has happened to me before when I was at home. This was a re-buy as I’ve had this Clock before & I can say nothing but good things about it, shame.

Good value for money and the tone is good. Setting the date and time does require patience and tuning into a radio station is quite delicate

Looks smart but, the button controls are small and difficult to use in the dark. The radio is very poor with regards to sound quality and tuning.
Mr E. Shopper –
Looks great but is difficult to adjust the time/date without the instructions, do yourself a favour and get yourself an alexa show. We were gifted an alexa show and relegated the Sony Cube to the spare room

This is a budget product in Sony terms, so adjust expectations accordingly. The aerial is trailing wire type and tuning is an analogue dial, but the DAB version is around £75 and as a bedroom clock used occasionally as a radio, it is fine for the price. Controls are slightly odd, some functions not being obvious until the instructions are read, and the first one delivered had to be returned with the high-pitched electrical sound that others have described and persists until the backup battery is removed. My old Sony Dream Machine has lasted years and only retired because it’s turning yellow from sunlight, this one isn’t destined to last that long I suspect, but the black cube looks good.

This is neat bed-side clock – good display and reasonable snd. However, getting to grips with the complexity a bit frustrating. Mine come son everyday at 1130 for ninety minutes and I still haven’t figured out how to stop/change that!!

Bought this to replace and old Bush one which was just worn out. It is good to tell time, but in 24 house mode only, but the sound is just ok. Thought it would be sharper as I am a little deaf.

Good product. I’ve had the same before and like it enough to buy again. One star off for a rather archaic antennae for radio receivership. Better options exist these days.

I bought this clock without reading the reviews properly so was slightly worried after reading them. However I have to say I have had none of the problems described by the other reviewers and I am very happy with my clock radio (which sits next to my mobile on bedside table with no noise problems). Yes the buttons are small but I have had no problem using them as they are well spaced apart and easy to find even in the dark! In short it does what it says and works fine, I would buy it again if I needed to :)Oh and Co-op Electrical were great. They delivered it 2 days after I ordered by dpd couriers who emailed me with a 1hr trackable timeslot on the morning delivery was due (with the option to change or have delivered to neighbour if your not in).
MR RICHARD E MASTERSON –
Was put off by a review that said there was a buzzing sound – not great for a clock next to the bed – but I bought it anyway and it’s fine – no such problem. I had a SONY clock/radio for 15+ years and it only went because our new kitten chewed through the wires. Saying that I love the fact this new one has a back-up battery – we suffer from power cuts and always a pain resetting the clock. Also prefer the size – takes a lot less space up and getting used to the new orange glow…

the product was left in a recycle bin not as instructed to be left neighbour. it could have been stolen quite easily. bit disapointed

I read the reviews there was not a lot of choice for a basic mains alarm clock so I chose this. Pluses as soon as you plug in it sets the time the alarm was easy to set and turn off the buzzer was not loud if you need loud I suggest using the radio. The dimmer on the light I thought would be good but I find it still bright also the numbers are really close together you have to look closely to get the time and it is a bit bigger than I thought so takes up a bit of space

Exactly what i wanted. Neat and compact and it works!
