Very quiet. Thought it would be a bit bigger

This kettle boils quickly and is reasonably quiet. It doenit cut it as quickly as I would like and continues boiling for quite a while. The fairly squat design and the fact that the handle is both curved and far from the body make holding a full kettle difficult.
Nalinika Endagama –
I simply replaced by old of same make and style with the new. Have had these for many years now.

One aspect I like about this kettle is that it’s a metal design, which contributes to a better tasting cupper, for sure. However, every other detail is unfortunately sub-par. For instance, the size does look deceptive in pictures, I thought it was going to be bigger than it is. And for the main claim it is quiet. Let me put it this way: my last kettle was quieter than this and it made no pretence about how quiet it was.

Positives: Looks good, energy efficient and brews a good cup of tea.Negatives: worked quietly for one day and then started working noisily.

like how it boils fast, low noise, rotates on base, ambidextrous, lid easy opened, clear markings

This is my third example of this model. Its predecessors lasted around three years each. The first failed with a lid that refused to open and the second refused to stay turned on. You may wonder why on earth I bought a third. The kettle we had before was an expensive model and still only lasted three years. I did extensive research before purchasing and concluded that electric kettles are all pretty dismal. I decided it was better to stick with the devil I know, which is at least the quietest kettle I’ve ever owned and boils very quickly.

The manufacturers major heavily on the quietness of the kettle, and indeed for a week or so, it was much quieter than our previous kettleButWe live in a hard water area – as the limescale built up, so did the noise. It’s now as noisy as its predecessorThat all said it’s well built, efficient and good value for money

Does what the sales description says. Very pleased with the product.
Andy –
Similar but quieter than our previous Russell Hobbs kettle with the added advantage of two windows to view the water level so it doesn’t matter whether your left or right handed when using it.
M Drake –
Good value but handle feels slightly slippy when full
A.Stanton –
Much quieter than our old kettle. Great for an open plan kitchen, dining, living room – don’t need to pause TV when we put the kettle on now!!
Ballyvick –
Very please with this kettle. It is quiet as described. It feels and looks like a good quality product. Glad I purchased
A reviewer –
Very pleased with how quickly and quietly this kettle boils and I’ve not noticed any funny taste to the water now that the first few boils are out of the way. Excellent.

Buying a kettle is one of those tedious tasks that nobody really enjoys, simply because you really don’t know how it would perform or whether the manufacturer’s claims are real or not? 🤷🏾♀️However, fear not with this kettle! It really does what it says! It’s quiet, fast and it’s actually a good looking one at that! 😊

This is the second Russell Hobbs 20460 Quiet Boil kettle I’ve bought for myself (also bought my young niece one too). Quick boil, very quiet, non-drip spout and good, quality build. No nasty plasticky smells or aftertaste that sometimes comes with cheap jug kettles, and used with a smart plug, for me it’s an ideal kettle, what more can I say! Except, the first kettle is STILL going strong but used in a spare guest room, hence a new one for the kitchen.

Needed a new kettle,in a sensible price range, stainless Steel only too,so this one was chosen, liked the 3 teacup red marker inside of the kettle , just a bit of bling around the bottom that lights up,

I’ve been looking for this kettle for years. After a succession of kettles that sound like steam engines, this one is SO quiet. We can actually speak to each other whilst it is on the boil.Love it, it’s nice looking too.
