We purchased this product to use for our little ones bath and top and tail basin. I found it worked initially but I think it’s necause I wasn’t paying attention. After leaving at room temperature I figured I’d test it as it seemed to be reading slot higher than what it was so I ran it under freezing cold water and it stayed at 21 degrees Celsius. This was surprising as when running under hot water it shot right up to the maximum! The temperature I have my daughters water is usually on the warmer side and this thermometer always read it above 33 degrees Celsius which drive me crazy. The recommended temperature for a baby according to this thermometer was cold!I wouldn’t waste your time buying this thermometer just use your judgement.

This was great for 6 months but has recently been incredibly inaccurate and reading a temperature much lower than the water actually is risking burning the baby if I hadn’t checked the water myself and with another device. Had to buy a new different (!) thermometer and unfortunately cannot return this one now despite being dangerously faulty. I have to add I am unsure as to why this is now not accurate as it has not been dropped or placed into boiling water or anything else that I can think of.

Good thermometer, does exactly what it needs to do. Seems to be reasonably accurate and quick to react to changes in temperature. Floats in the bath for ease of use, and has a safe temperature range marked out. Our baby seems to prefer the temperature nearer the lower end of this range, but I’m sure it will vary from child to child.

Glad I got this and not the other branded thermometer that looks like a chunky flower…! After researching, I decided to get this cheaper option as the said flower shaped one seemed to mist up pretty quickly. You don’t need anything that fancy honestly!! This thermometer does the exact same job with a reliable reading each time, it’s not digital, and the giraffe shape is super cute!
