Jean Turicik –
I ordered this for my husband who is a professional Home Inspector-he really rated it high. He experimented with it on a variety of items and pronounced it perform well and appeared to be accurate, just a note-he is very particular about the tools that he uses. So with that, I will definitely recommend this!

Ken at Cedar Grove –
I needed a meter that would tell me whether the wood was wet or relatively dry. Incredible precision not needed. This neat little meter more than fills the bill!

a very good product, works brilliantly
Mitchell R. Alegre –
Lightweight, easy to handle with rubberized grips. Easy to read display. Digitally indicates percentage of moisture and if considered low, medium, or high. Also has a printed chart on the back of the unit with information on moisture percentages and levels. Easy to use. Comes with spare probes that store in the unit.

Not bad. it has a tendency to lock from time to time so u have to disconnect battery and re start it. seems to be a good product other than. Brought it to my family in Denham Springs, La after the flood to check their houses.

Clear instructions and easy to use. The points are really sharp so it is easy to use, even in an awkward position in the crawlspace. The ability to lock the reading enables you to take a measurement without seeing the face.A bit expensive for occasional use, but the trade off is you can trust the reading.

Great moisture meter, does wood and masonry. If you are wanting a good all round meter at a good price you cannot go wrong with this

I’ve used this moisture meter for just over a year now. I use it a few times a week for inspecting basements for moisture issues. It is a great tool. Good value for the price.

This moisture meter has worked well for me though I don’t use it often. There aren’t a lot of reasonably priced moisture meters and I decided to go with this one since it was in the price range I was looking at and Extech seemed to have more trouble free products.

It works ok and is pretty accurate, but is constantly beeping and showing 7% moisture even when capped. I have to take the battery out just to reset it. Also the power button only works to shut it off half the time. If checking moisture levels is part of your job and you moisture meters daily, look else were.

Most professional installers say that single most important tool for properly installing solid wood floors is a moisture meter. Rather than guessing if my flooring and subfloor were at the proper moisture content (acclimated properly), this meter provided definite information. Acclimating flooring (according to manufacturers recommendations) is all about moisture content, not time in the home.
